Psalm 30 -Settling Into Gladness
I thank you, O God, for your silent help in my life.
Because of you, my fears do not overwhelm me.
When I have cried out for help, I have felt a touch of comfort.
You have restored my life.
I sing my gladness and praise
settle into joy
My separations last moments –Love is always.
I may weep for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
When all was well in my life, I forgot you,
You did not intrude on my self-satisfaction.
When I needed you, I could not find my way back
What use is there for all the ten thousand things
If I have nothing anchoring me to the deep?
You heard my cry, and called me back
You reached out to me and you helped me find my way.
Therefore, my heart sings
and I give thanks.
